According to statistics recently released by the National Association of Realtors, “At 25 percent, buyers 30 to 39 continue to be the largest generational group of buyers with a median age of 34, followed by buyers 40 to 54 at 23 percent with a median age of 47. ” The data shows that the age of homeowners is trending upward. To increase the likelihood of a successful home purchase, the association highly recommends for buyers to start building their credit history. as early as possible. A financial expert explained that banks and lenders often take a look at an individual’s credit history to see if he/she responsibly demonstrates the ability to repay debts.
