Consumers seeking a buyer agent often are confused about the meaning.  A broker is often referred to by the public as the person in charge of the realty company.  However, “broker” may mean very different things in different states.  For example in Colorado ever licensee is called a “broker”, but there are various levels, including a supervising broker.  Then there are different roles that licensees may take on within their companies, including a designated agent, buyer agent, seller agent, etc.  It behooves consumers to understand these differences since different roles will give different levels of service and loyalty.
